First Love and Baseball Post...

     It's the middle of winter January 7, 2025, it's about 9 degrees outside and my health leaves something to the imagination. I created a blog specifically for baseball to keep this love alive and share my perspective on baseball happenings, my own baseball practice, niece and nephews games, cards, ideas about the game, pictures, and other miscellaneous baseball trivia. So what great escape would keep Edgar Allen Poe away from his fireplace on a cold winter's day?

     In Braham MN I live in a group home but with plenty of options. A couple days ago 1 of the helpers and me took our gloves and played catch... yes in the middle of winter. But, it just reminds me of actual competition and love of life. I'm a baseball player so I might as well play baseball.

     This coming spring we're thinking about getting a practice tee which is basically a tee-ball tee with a ball on it that the ball can be hit with a bat and springs back. This would be good basic practice for an intermediate player like me. I may luck out and get the county to pay for it, which would be good because I'm kind of low on funds. I'm confident my swing would come back and improve, but it adds to the positive culture of baseball.
